Whilst some of us have been around body piercings for a long time and know most of the different piercings sometimes we can get caught out by a new piercing or a piercing being called a different name. Additionally, others are new to piercing and all the various piercings and locations can get a little confusing. So we are going to be delving into the different body piercings out there in our new Ultimate Guide to Piercings series where we offer up some information, history and jewellery recommendations.
Despite most likely being the oldest piercing known to man, ear piercings will absolutely never go out of style and since it is regarded as being the oldest of piercings it seems fitting to start there. No matter what the situation, occasion or outfit, wearing some jewellery in the ear will always add a little something. But things have moved on from the standard ear lobe piercing and with so many different types of ear piercings (and names) things can easily get a little confusing.
